An innovative solution for longitudinal weld tracking. This magnetic STIX – 2 Probe Long Seam Scanner is built around a versatile pivoting frame bar which allows manual axial scanning down to 15.2 cm (6 in).
A dual pivot frame bar accommodates two probe longitudinal scans. Perform manual long seam scans on pipes as small as 15.24 cm (6 in).
Conversion between circumferential and longitudinal capabilities is quick and simple. Scan circumferentially on pipes and tubes as small as 25.4 cm (10 in). Scan circumferentially as small as 10.2 cm (4 in) using slip-joint probe holders (sold separately).
Comfortable handles provide excellent scanner control as well as mounting points for accessories
The spring-loaded encoder maintains constant surface contact to ensure accurate scanner positioning at all times.

The dual pivot frame bar accommodates longitudinal scanning applications. The synchronized dual pivot frame bar ensures precise scanner setup while full control is provided with the convenient handles.
A spring-loaded encoder maintains constant surface contact to ensure accurate scanner positioning. The spring-loaded encoder is fully compatible with all standard instrument.
Ergonomic handles provide comfortable scanner control while also providing mounting points for accessories.
Brakes are provided to lock the scanner in a required position.
The magnetic wheels are coated with urethane to reduce the effects of foreign debris obstructing the scanner motion. Two sets of 4 magnetic wheels are included with the system to provide optimal magnetic attraction during scanning operations.
