The AH-4000 is a true hybrid recorder — meaning it records simultaneously to both the physical strip chart paper and to a digital SD card. This dual recording capability provides two independent, complementary records of every heat treatment or measurement cycle:
- Strip chart — a continuous, ink-on-paper temperature trace that is immediately readable without any software or equipment, universally accepted for code compliance and quality documentation, and resistant to data loss from power failures or digital media failure
- SD card digital record — a precise, time-stamped digital dataset that can be transferred to a PC for analysis, archiving, report generation, and long-term storage using Chino's compatible data acquisition and analysis software

Multi-Channel Temperature Monitoring
With 12 independent input channels, the AH-4000 can simultaneously monitor and record up to 12 thermocouple or RTD sensors — covering all zones of a multi-zone heat treatment setup, a complex weld joint with multiple thermocouple attachment points, or a process vessel with distributed temperature monitoring requirements.
The large rotating digital display cycles continuously through all active channels — displaying each zone's current temperature in large, easy-to-read digits so the operator always has a clear view of the full thermal picture without needing to scroll or switch screens manually.
17 Thermocouple Types — Broad Compatibility
This configuration of the AH-4000 is pre-configured to accept 17 thermocouple types — covering virtually every thermocouple type encountered in industrial heat treatment, PWHT, weld testing, and process monitoring applications. The pre-mounted Type K jacks are the most widely used thermocouple type in field heat treatment operations, ensuring immediate compatibility with standard Type K thermocouples without any additional wiring or adapters.

Alarm & Chart Management

- Visual alarm indication — when any alarm triggers, the LCD display flashes "ALM" and the associated measured value flashes to immediately alert the operator
- Chart end detection — the recorder automatically triggers an alarm when the chart paper supply is running low, preventing unrecorded data gaps during extended heat treatment cycles
