Overview
FlawTech’s “The Traveler” CWI Visual Training Kit is a lightweight polymer specimen set developed specifically for Certified Welding Inspector training, classroom demonstrations, practical exercises, and visual weld-inspection testing.
The kit contains 15 gray polyurethane specimens representing plates, tee joints, and 180° pipe segments. Each specimen incorporates realistic weld indications designed to help trainees practice locating, identifying, measuring, and evaluating discontinuities using AWS D1.1-based criteria.
With approximately three to four indications per specimen and more than 50 weld indications across the complete kit, “The Traveler” provides extensive inspection practice while remaining significantly lighter than comparable steel specimen sets. All specimens fit inside the included carrying case for convenient transportation by traveling instructors and training organizations.
