The Sonatest Sitescan 500S is a broadband ultrasonic flaw detector with a full VGA display, sync and proportional outputs, and a 50 ns, 200 V pulser with 0.5 dB gain resolution. It's built for weld fabrication, corrosion detection, forgings and castings, and general UT inspection.
DAC comes as standard, with a full range of code-based sizing software available, and 4 GB of on-board memory stores inspection data. Its external sync, proportional and video outputs also make it a strong fit for automated systems and NDT training.

Designed to meet IP67 and tested to MIL-STD-810F for vibration, shock and explosive atmospheres, the 500S operates from -10°C to 55°C.
All-day battery
Up to 13.5 hours from a full charge, with a Li-ion pack that swaps out without tools and an external 15 V DC supply option.
Full VGA color display
The 640 × 480 transflective color screen stays visible in any lighting, with a sunlight-readable high-contrast mode and color palettes that include black-on-white LCD emulation.
Broadband receiver with Active Edge
A 1 to 16 MHz broadband filter, 0 to 110 dB gain and 200 MHz, 10-bit digitization handle a wide range of probes. Sonatest's Active Edge mode improves near-surface resolution.
4 GB of storage
Store up to 450,000 panels, 200,000 A-logs, 300,000 B-charts and 440,000 thickness logs, and manage them on your PC with the free UT-Lity Lite software.
Fast setup tools
AutoCal calculates velocity and probe zero from two reference echoes, and Automatic Gain Control sets the gated signal to your chosen height. A live reference A-scan and active peak memory make comparisons quick.
