The SCANRAY® 3643 PRO is the largest and most powerful model in the SCANRAY PRO series — a full-format, high-resolution portable wireless digital radiography (DR) system engineered by DR Systems for the most demanding large-scale industrial inspection applications. Combining the expansive 13.8 × 16.8 inch active detection area of a full-format detector with the enhanced 99 µm pixel pitch of the PRO series, the 3643 PRO delivers an exceptional combination of wide-area coverage and superior image resolution that neither the Regular nor Ultra series alone can match.

The SCANRAY® 3643 PRO occupies a unique position in the SCANRAY lineup — delivering the wide active area of a full-format detector with a significantly finer pixel pitch than the Regular series. This makes it the most versatile high-performance detector in the entire SCANRAY range.

The 99 µm pixel pitch of the 3643 PRO represents a 29% improvement in pixel resolution over the Regular 3643 — enabling detection of finer defects, smaller indications, and subtler material anomalies across the same large inspection area, without any reduction in single-shot coverage. For inspectors who previously had to choose between coverage and resolution, the 3643 PRO eliminates that compromise entirely.

DR-SOFT® Software

The SCANRAY® 3643 PRO ships with DR-SOFT® pre-installed on both the included ruggedized laptop and ruggedized tablet. DR-SOFT® is DR Systems' proprietary radiographic image acquisition and evaluation software, designed to deliver a fast and intuitive inspection workflow directly in the field. Wireless Operation Images are transmitted in real-time from the detector to the operator's tablet or laptop via Wi-Fi, allowing the operator to remain safely outside the radiation exclusion zone during exposure. An additional Wi-Fi module is included to extend wireless range in challenging environments.

24/7 Continuous Inspection Two full sets of batteries with charger ensure uninterrupted operation across extended inspection campaigns or multi-shift production environments.

Drop and Impact Protection The included universal protective cover protects the detector from accidental drops of up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) — a critical safeguard in active industrial environments.

High-Temperature Inspection The included heat-resistant blanket allows the detector to be used on hot objects up to 250°C (482°F) without any cooling period — reducing downtime in high-temperature process plant environments.

Zero Data Loss The detector's internal memory stores images locally when the wireless connection to the operator's station is interrupted. No images are ever lost during a working shift.

Compatible with All Radiation Sources The SCANRAY® 3643 PRO works with constant-potential, half-sine, and pulsed X-ray generators, as well as gamma radiation sources of varying activity levels.
