The Dakota NDT FX81-DL Flaw Detector / Thickness Gauge (formerly DFX-8+) is a high-performance, portable ultrasonic instrument that combines advanced flaw detection capabilities with precise thickness measurement in a single, rugged unit. The FX81-DL boasts a broad frequency bandwidth (1.8 - 19 MHz) and also includes six narrow band filters at 0.5MHz, 1MHz, 2MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz, and 15MHz. These narrow bands provide enhanced signal-to-noise ratio for specific frequency applications, optimizing transducer selection for diverse materials and inspection requirements. The instrument features multiple measurement modes for both flaw detection (Pulse-Echo) and thickness gauging (including Pulse-Echo, Echo-Echo, Coating Thickness).  

With a large internal memory for storing extensive inspection data and A-Scan images, the FX81-DL facilitates comprehensive data logging and analysis. The included DakView3 PC software and USB cable enable seamless data transfer to a computer for detailed reporting and further evaluation.
