Overview

Met-L-Chek D-70 is a nonaqueous wet developer designed for professional liquid penetrant inspection. It is applied after excess penetrant has been removed and the inspection surface has been properly dried.

D-70 forms a thin, light-colored developer coating that helps draw penetrant retained inside surface-breaking discontinuities back to the surface. This bleed-out action improves indication visibility and provides a contrasting background for evaluation during visible dye penetrant inspection. It may also be used as part of compatible fluorescent penetrant systems when approved by the applicable procedure.

The 55-gallon / 208 L bulk drum configuration is intended for high-volume inspection departments, production penetrant lines, fabrication facilities, aerospace and manufacturing operations, and other environments where large quantities of developer are required.
