Met-L-Chek FP-95A(M) is a high-sensitivity, Level 3 fluorescent post-emulsifiable (PE) penetrant. It is specifically formulated for the detection of extremely fine, tight discontinuities such as stress corrosion cracking, fatigue cracks, and micro-porosity. As a Level 3 penetrant, it offers a higher concentration of fluorescent dyes and superior capillary action compared to Level 2 products, ensuring that even the smallest "indications" are pulled to the surface and rendered highly visible under UV-A light.
Key Performance Features
High Sensitivity (Level 3): Engineered for the most demanding NDT environments where "missed" defects are not an option. It provides a sharp, brilliant yellow-green fluorescence with exceptional contrast.
Post-Emulsifiable Stability: Designed for use with Method B (Lipophilic) or Method D (Hydrophilic) emulsifiers. This process provides the highest sensitivity by preventing the penetrant from being washed out of shallow or wide-mouthed defects.
Exceptional Penetrating Power: Low surface tension allows the fluid to migrate into extremely tight cracks quickly, reducing required dwell times on precision-machined components.
