The DeFelsko PosiTector UTG CX1 measures the wall thickness of steel, plastic and other materials using ultrasonic technology. It's ideal for measuring the effects of corrosion or erosion on tanks, pipes and any structure where access is limited to one side. Its 5 MHz dual-element Xtreme probe uses a focused V-path with automatic V-path compensation to accurately measure metals with heavy corrosion or back wall pitting.
The CX probe adds a braided stainless steel cable jacket and heavy-duty strain reliefs for protection in demanding environments. It connects to the PosiTector Standard gage body, which has a large 2.8" color touchscreen and an IP65 weatherproof enclosure, and accepts any PosiTector probe.

Large color touchscreen
The 2.8" impact-resistant color touchscreen, redesigned keypad and on-gage help make navigation quick. The display rotates automatically with Flip Lock, and the menus are available in 15 languages.
Statistics and data storage
Statistics Mode continuously updates average, standard deviation, min/max and number of readings. The Standard body stores 1,000 date- and time-stamped readings per probe plus 100 screen captures.
Simple reporting with PosiSoft
Connect over USB to access readings like a flash drive, with no software needed, or use the included PosiSoft software to create custom, professional PDF reports.
Long battery life
Over 20 hours of continuous operation on 3 AAA batteries, with an instant-on feature and continuous power available over USB.
One body, many instruments
The PosiTector body accepts all PosiTector probes, so it can become a coating thickness gage, surface profile gage, dew point meter, soluble salt tester, hardness tester or gloss meter.
Certified accuracy
Every gage ships with a Long-Form Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST or PTB, documenting actual readings, and conforms to ASTM E797.
