PH Tool — IIW-Type 1 Calibration Block
Metric Ultrasonic Calibration Block, 1018 Carbon SteelSKU: IIW1.M1018
Overview
The PH Tool IIW-Type 1 Block is a precision-machined ultrasonic calibration standard designed for the setup and performance verification of longitudinal-wave and shear-wave transducers. Manufactured from 1018 carbon steel, the metric block provides an acoustically representative reference for ultrasonic inspections performed on carbon-steel welds, structures, and industrial components.
Its standardized geometry supports distance calibration, sensitivity adjustment, transducer exit-point determination, refracted-angle verification, and resolution assessment. The block incorporates multiple radii, holes, slots, and reference markings to support common straight-beam and angle-beam calibration procedures.
The metric configuration measures 300 × 100 × 25 mm and is suitable for professional field, fabrication, laboratory, maintenance, and QA/QC ultrasonic inspection programs.
