The MET-L-CHEK D-70 Aerosol Developer is a high-performance, nonaqueous developer essential for enhancing the visibility of indications in both fluorescent and visible penetrant testing. This product is available in a convenient case of 12 aerosol cans, each containing 16 fluid ounces (400 ml).
As a nonaqueous developer, D-70 consists of an absorbent powder finely suspended in a fast-drying solvent. Applied after excess penetrant has been removed and the inspection surface is dry, the solvent action of D-70 draws the penetrant to the surface, creating a uniform white background that significantly improves the contrast and detectability of even the finest flaws.
D-70 is approved by major industry players like Boeing, EDF, GE, and Pratt & Whitney, and meets the stringent requirements of AMS-2644. Its low sulfur, sodium, chlorine, fluorine, and other halogen content makes it safe for use on critical materials such as titanium and high-nickel alloys found in aerospace, medical, and nuclear components.
Key Features:
Nonaqueous Formulation: Provides superior sensitivity by drawing penetrant to the surface.
Universal Compatibility: Enhances indications from both fluorescent (Form d) and visible (Form e) penetrants.
