NM01T1014000
The Dakota NDT 10.0 MHz Dual Element Transducer is a compact and high-resolution ultrasonic transducer designed for accurate thickness measurements, particularly on thinner materials and for detecting small flaws. Featuring a 3/16" (4.76 mm) diameter active element, this transducer operates at a center frequency of 10.0 MHz, providing excellent near-surface resolution.
The potted housing offers a durable and environmentally sealed construction, ideal for demanding industrial environments. The side entry cable configuration provides a low profile and helps to keep the cable out of the way during inspections in tight spaces.
As a dual element transducer, it utilizes separate transmitting and receiving crystals angled towards each other. This design improves performance on challenging surfaces, enhances near-surface resolution, and is particularly effective for measuring thickness in materials that may cause signal scattering or attenuation with single element transducers.
Key Features:
High Frequency (10.0 MHz): Provides excellent resolution for detecting small defects and measuring thin materials.
Small 3/16" Diameter: Ideal for applications with limited access or on curved surfaces.
Dual Element Design: Superior near-surface resolution and performance on challenging materials.
Potted Housing: Durable and environmentally sealed for industrial use.
Side Entry Cable: Low profile and keeps the cable out of the way.
Dakota NDT Quality: Manufactured by a trusted leader in ultrasonic testing equipment.
Applications:
Precise thickness gauging of thin-walled materials.
Detection of very small flaws and discontinuities.
Inspection of aluminum, titanium, and other fine-grained materials.
Applications requiring high near-surface resolution.
Use in confined spaces due to its compact size and side entry cable.
