The DeFelsko PosiTector 6000 F1 is a rugged, fully electronic coating thickness gage that uses the magnetic induction principle to measure non-magnetic coatings on ferrous metals quickly and accurately. Its integral F probe is dedicated to steel and iron, making it the right choice for paint shops, fabricators, galvanizers and inspectors who work mainly on steel.
It's ready to measure right out of the box, with no calibration adjustment needed for most applications. The PosiTector Standard body stores 1,000 readings per probe, and the IP65 weatherproof enclosure and two-year warranty on body and probe make it a dependable everyday gage.

Built for the Field
Integral probe for one-handed use
The removable built-in F probe has no cable, so you can measure with one hand. It can also be swapped for any other PosiTector 6000 probe, and each probe retains its own calibration information.
Ready to measure, accurate for years
No calibration adjustment is required for most applications. A wear-resistant probe tip keeps readings accurate over time, and each gage includes a Long Form Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST or PTB.
Statistics and memory
The Standard body stores 1,000 readings per probe, and Statistics mode continually displays the average, standard deviation, min/max and number of readings. Readings are accessible over USB like a flash drive, or through PosiSoft software for reports.
Flexible calibration
Choose from 1-point, 2-point, known thickness and average zero adjustment options. Hi-RES mode increases displayed resolution for precision work, and RESET instantly restores factory settings.
Rugged and weatherproof
The IP65 enclosure is weatherproof, dustproof and water-resistant, and resists solvents, acids, oil and water. A protective rubber holster with belt clip is included.
One body, many instruments
The PosiTector body accepts all PosiTector 6000, 200, RTR, SPG, DPM, IRT, SST, UTG, SHD, BHI and GLS probes, so it can become a surface profile gage, dew point meter, soluble salt tester, wall thickness gage, hardness tester or gloss meter.
