Carestream INDUSTREX T200 Film | High-Resolution NIF Bulk Roll
Versatile, High-Contrast Imaging for Critical NDT Radiography
The INDUSTREX T200 Film is Carestream’s fastest ASTM Class I film, designed for high-sensitivity industrial radiography. Utilizing patented T-GRAIN Emulsion technology, this film provides a medium speed with a very fine grain and high contrast, making it the industry standard for critical inspections that require an extended imaging range. The NIF (Non-Interleaved) bulk roll format is specifically designed for high-volume users, providing a continuous 150-meter length that can be cut to custom sizes in a darkroom environment.
Key Performance Features
T-GRAIN Emulsion Technology: Provides superior image resolution and a high signal-to-noise ratio, ensuring even the most minute defects are visible under high-energy X-ray or Gamma-ray sources.
Rugged & Durable: Engineered to withstand high temperatures and humid environments. The emulsion is significantly less susceptible to static artifacts and pressure marks caused by handling.
Extended Imaging Range: T200 is often used in "multiple film loads," where it is paired with other film types (like MX125 or AA400) to capture a wide range of material thicknesses in a single exposure.
Flexible Application: Suitable for use with direct X-rays or with lead foil screens. Its medium-speed profile makes it ideal for high-voltage X-ray equipment and common gamma sources like Iridium-192.
Cost-Efficient Bulk Format: The 150m NIF roll (Non-Interleaved) eliminates paper waste between layers, making it the most economical choice for labs that use custom-length cassettes or automated film-loading systems.

Ideal Applications
Pipelines: Continuous roll format is perfect for circumferential weld inspection.
Aircraft Inspection: High-resolution detection of fatigue cracks and corrosion in airframes.
Welded Fabrication: Checking structural integrity in heavy pressure vessels and bridge components.
Castings: Detecting micro-shrinkage and porosity in investment and sand castings.
Nuclear: Critical component inspection where Class I film sensitivity is mandated.
Processing & Storage
Processing: Compatible with both Automatic and Manual processing cycles using INDUSTREX chemicals. Recommended automatic cycle: 8 minutes at 79°F (26°C).
Safelight: Requires a Red Safelight Filter (e.g., GBX-2) located at least 1.2 meters from the film.
Storage: Store unexposed film between 10–24°C (50–75°F) at 30–50% relative humidity. Protect from all sources of ionizing radiation.
Expert Insight: The "Suffix 359" NIF Bulk Roll is the preferred choice for offshore pipeline "crawlers" and large-scale fabrication projects. It allows the technician to cut exactly the length needed—whether it's 10 inches or 10 feet—reducing film waste by up to 20% compared to pre-cut sheets.
