Echo Ultrasonics — UltraSoniX™ US1-HV Broad-Temperature Couplant
High-Viscosity Ultrasonic Couplant with Corrosion Inhibition, 1 gal / 3.8 L, with Application Bottle and Dispensing CapSKU: US1-HV
Overview
The Echo Ultrasonics UltraSoniX™ US1-HV is a high-viscosity ultrasonic couplant designed for professional flaw-detection and thickness-gauging applications across a broad operating-temperature range. It creates a stable acoustic interface between the ultrasonic transducer and inspection surface, helping ultrasonic energy enter the test material efficiently.
With an approximate viscosity of 165,000 cps, the stiff-gel formulation provides strong resistance to running and dripping. This makes it particularly suitable for vertical, overhead, curved, rough, and irregular surfaces where the couplant must remain in position during scanning.
UltraSoniX™ US1-HV provides excellent corrosion inhibition and operates from approximately 10 °F to 220 °F / -12 °C to 104.4 °C. Supplied in a 1 gal / 3.8 L container with one refillable application bottle and dispensing cap, it provides a practical bulk solution for field, fabrication, maintenance, manufacturing, and QA/QC inspection programs.
