Met-L-Chek — FP-923 Fluorescent Water-Washable Penetrant
Level 3 High-Sensitivity Fluorescent Penetrant for Methods A and C, Case of 12 × 16 oz / 400 mL Aerosol CansSKU: 29109-0001
Overview
The Met-L-Chek FP-923 is a Level 3 fluorescent penetrant designed for detecting fine surface-breaking discontinuities in nonporous materials. Its high-sensitivity formulation supports demanding liquid penetrant inspections where small cracks, laps, seams, porosity, and other surface-open defects must be clearly identified.
FP-923 can be used in Method A water-washable procedures and Method C solvent-removable procedures. During inspection, the penetrant enters surface-breaking discontinuities through capillary action. After the excess penetrant is removed and an approved developer is applied, retained penetrant produces fluorescent indications under suitable UV-A illumination.
Supplied as a case of 12 aerosol cans, each containing 16 oz / 400 mL, SKU 29109-0001 provides a portable and practical supply for aerospace, fabrication, maintenance, manufacturing, and industrial QA/QC inspection programs.
