Dakota NDT CMX2 DL+ | High-Performance Thickness Gauge
Precision Measurement with Advanced Through-Paint Technology
The Dakota CMX2 DL+ is an advanced ultrasonic thickness gauge engineered for the demanding world of corrosion and erosion monitoring. While it maintains the rugged, compact form factor of the CMX series, the DL+ version offers enhanced data logging capabilities and high-speed scanning performance. Its standout feature is the highly accurate Echo-Echo (E-E) mode, allowing inspectors to measure the thickness of the metal substrate without removing protective coatings or paint.
Key Performance Features
Thru-Paint Capability: Utilizing Echo-Echo technology, the CMX2 DL+ ignores the coating thickness and displays only the remaining material thickness, saving time and preserving surface integrity.
DL+ Data Logging: Features an expanded internal memory capable of storing thousands of readings in a grid or sequential format. Includes the DakMaster software for seamless report generation and data management on a PC.
Scan Mode: When activated, the gauge takes 250 readings per second while the probe is dragged across the surface. It then displays the thinnest measurement found, making it indispensable for finding localized pitting.
Differential Mode: Allows the user to set a "target" thickness; the gauge then displays the difference (+/-) between the actual thickness and the target.
Alarm Feature: Includes a visual and audible alarm with user-defined high and low limits to flag out-of-spec areas instantly.
Ruggedized Hardware: Housed in a custom-machined aluminum body with nickel-plated end caps, ensuring it survives drops, vibrations, and harsh weather.
