The Sonatest AlphaGage+ is a primary inspection tool for corrosion assessment. It uses dual-element transducers in a pitch-catch configuration to accurately measure the remaining wall thickness of metal structures subject to corrosion. On painted or coated surfaces, its echo-to-echo function measures the true wall thickness through the coating.
The CDLW is the fully loaded corrosion model, combining corrosion features with the Data Logger and Waveform upgrades. Inspectors get a live A-scan for echo verification, a B-scan data logger for corrosion mapping, a bright color display that changes color and vibrates on alarm, and up to 27 hours of battery life, all in a one-hand gauge designed for IP67.

Complete your thickness testing setup
Add Sonatest dual-element probes for other ranges: 2.25 MHz for sections over 50 mm, 10 MHz for thin walls, plus high-temperature and contoured pipe probes. Add couplant, a step calibration block, the magnetic ball head and a neck strap.
