The Dakota NDT FX80-DL UT Flaw Detector / Thickness Gauge (formerly DFX-8) is a versatile and robust handheld instrument designed for both advanced ultrasonic flaw detection and precise thickness measurement. The FX80-DL features a broad frequency bandwidth (1.8 - 19 MHz) and also incorporates four narrow band filters at 1MHz, 2MHz, 5MHz, and 10MHz. These selectable narrow bands enhance the signal-to-noise ratio for specific applications, optimizing transducer performance for diverse materials and inspection requirements. The instrument offers multiple measurement modes for both flaw detection (Pulse-Echo) and thickness gauging (including Pulse-Echo, Echo-Echo, Coating Thickness).  

Equipped with a large internal memory, the FX80-DL enables extensive storage of inspection data and A-Scan images, facilitating comprehensive data logging and analysis. The included DakView3 PC software and USB cable allow for seamless data transfer to a computer for detailed reporting and further evaluation.
