NM01TG556
The NDT SYSTEMS Extended Temperature Standard Probe is a rugged and reliable dual-element transducer specifically designed for ultrasonic thickness measurements in a wide temperature range, from -15°F to 600°F (-26°C to 315°C). This probe is ideal for applications where extreme temperatures are encountered, ensuring accurate readings in challenging environments.
Featuring dual-element construction, this transducer optimizes sound transmission and reception, leading to improved signal-to-noise ratio and more reliable thickness measurements, especially in materials with varying surface conditions or attenuation properties. The top-mounted microdot connectors offer a secure and convenient connection point for the required cable.
With a frequency of 5 MHz and a 0.375 inch (9.5 mm) diameter element, this probe provides a good balance of penetration and resolution for a wide thickness range, from 0.040 inches (1 mm) up to 20.00 inches (508 mm), depending on the material being tested. The probe's case measures 0.60 inches (15.2 mm) in diameter and 1.30 inches (33 mm) in length, making it compact and easy to handle.
Please note that this probe requires an LMD1 cable (not included) for connection to your ultrasonic thickness gauge.
