The SCANRAY® 1230 is a professional-grade, portable wireless digital radiography (DR) system engineered to replace conventional X-ray film and computed radiography (CR) plates in industrial non-destructive testing. Designed and manufactured by DR Systems, the 1230 is the most compact model in the SCANRAY Regular series — making it the preferred choice for weld inspection, corrosion survey, and quality control applications in oil & gas, petrochemical, shipbuilding, aerospace, power generation, and heavy manufacturing environments.

DR-SOFT® Software
The SCANRAY® 1230 ships with DR-SOFT® pre-installed on both the included ruggedized laptop and ruggedized tablet. DR-SOFT® is DR Systems' proprietary radiographic image acquisition and evaluation software, designed to deliver a fast, intuitive inspection workflow directly in the field. Key capabilities include:

- Image enhancement, annotation, and measurement tools
- DICONDE-format image storage for secure archiving and remote transmission
- Immediate post-exposure evaluation — no darkroom, no waiting, no film processing

System Highlights
True Plug-and-Play Inspection The comprehensive package contents mean inspectors can begin working immediately upon arrival on site — no separate software licensing, no missing accessories, no sourcing compatible hardware.
Wireless Operation Images are transmitted in real-time from the detector to the operator's tablet or laptop via Wi-Fi, allowing the operator to remain safely outside the radiation exclusion zone during exposure. An additional Wi-Fi module is included to extend wireless range in challenging environments.
24/7 Continuous Inspection Two full sets of batteries with charger ensure uninterrupted operation across extended inspection campaigns or multi-shift production environments.
Drop and Impact Protection The included universal protective cover protects the detector from accidental drops of up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) — a critical safeguard in active industrial environments.
High-Temperature Inspection The included heat-resistant blanket allows the detector to be used for inspection of hot objects up to 250°C (482°F) without any cooling period — reducing downtime in high-temperature process plant environments.
