The Tracerco PED Blue is a lightweight, robust, and user-friendly personal electronic dosimeter (PED) and rate alarm designed for reliable monitoring of X-ray and gamma radiation exposure. As part of Tracerco's renowned range of personal electronic dosimeters, the PED Blue offers a simpler, non-intrinsically safe alternative to the PED-IS, while retaining many of its core functionalities. It is an essential tool for individuals working in environments where radiation exposure is a concern, including NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) with radiographic sources, medical and life sciences, nuclear, emergency services, industrial, and environmental sectors.
The PED Blue features a large, clear display and intuitive one-button operation, making it exceptionally easy to use with minimal training. It provides both accumulated dose and real-time dose rate information, with configurable audio, visual (LEDs), and vibration alarms to alert the user immediately to changing radiation levels. A significant benefit of the PED Blue is its direct micro USB connection for charging, offering greater flexibility compared to models requiring a separate charging dock. Its durable, IP67-rated casing ensures it can withstand challenging work environments.
