Met-L-Chek FP-97A(M) Level 4: Ultra-High Sensitivity Fluorescent Penetrant
The Met-L-Chek FP-97A(M) Level 4 is an industry-leading, post-emulsifiable fluorescent penetrant designed for the most critical, high-sensitivity Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) applications, such as those found in aerospace and nuclear industries. Supplied in a bulk 5-Gallon Pail, this material ensures maximum uptime and cost efficiency for large-scale production testing.
FP-97A(M) is a Type 1 (Fluorescent), Sensitivity Level 4 penetrant, offering the highest available sensitivity for detecting minute and shallow surface discontinuities like hairline cracks, porosity, and pinholes in safety-critical components. As a Post-Emulsifiable (PE) penetrant, it offers superior process control by requiring a separate emulsifier (Methods B, C, or D) for removal, virtually eliminating the risk of over-washing and ensuring maximum flaw detection reliability.
Key Selling Features
Ultra-High Sensitivity (Level 4): Provides the highest level of flaw detection capability to find the smallest, most critical discontinuities.
Maximum Process Control: Post-Emulsifiable nature requires a separate emulsifier (Methods B, C, & D compatible), ensuring precise removal control for optimal results.
Aerospace & Industry Approved: Meets stringent global specifications, including AMS-2644 (QPL listed), AMS-2647, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section V, and ASTM E-1417.
Material Compatibility: Low in Sulfur, Halogens, and Sodium, making it safe for use on all metal surfaces, including sensitive aerospace alloys like aluminum, titanium, and nickel-based superalloys.
Bulk Volume: The 5-gallon pail size is ideal for immersion tanks and high-volume NDT labs, offering the best cost-per-gallon efficiency.
