The Sonatest WAVE is an interactive ultrasonic flaw detector for weld inspection, fabrication QA/QC and asset integrity work. It pairs a 7-inch, 1024 × 600 multi-touch display with a compact 1.7 kg (3.7 lb) body, and its built-in Interactive Scan Plan helps inspectors tell real flaws from geometric indications.
A design rated for IP67, a -10°C to 45°C operating range and 10 hours of battery life let the WAVE work a full shift in the shop, the plant or outdoors. A built-in speaker and audio recording let inspectors capture spoken notes alongside their inspection data.

Easy to carry
At 222 × 174 × 63 mm (8.7 × 6.8 × 2.5 in) and 1.7 kg (3.7 lb), with a hand strap included, the WAVE is easy to handle on scaffolds, in pipe racks and inside vessels. Optional 4-point and single-point safety harnesses are available.
Audio recording for documentation
A built-in speaker and audio recording let inspectors record spoken notes during an inspection, adding context to reports without stopping to type.
Embedded WiFi
Built-in WiFi lets you transfer data, install apps, and track calibration dates and software versions from anywhere in the field.
