The DeFelsko PosiTector 6000 FTS1 is a rugged, fully electronic coating thickness gage that uses the magnetic induction principle to measure thick non-magnetic coatings on steel and iron quickly and accurately. It pairs the PosiTector Standard body with the removable FTS high-range cabled probe, built for coatings far thicker than standard probes can read.
With a range of 0 to 250 mils (0 to 6 mm), it's ideal for thick epoxy, rubber linings, intumescent fireproofing and other heavy protective coating systems. It's ready to measure right out of the box for most applications, and backed by a two-year warranty on body and probe.

Made for thick coatings
The FTS probe measures from 0 to 250 mils (0 to 6 mm) on steel, so a single gage covers thick epoxy, rubber, intumescent fireproofing and multi-coat protective systems.
Cabled probe for hard-to-reach areas
The high-range cabled probe gives flexible access to curved surfaces, confined areas and large structures, while the gage body stays easy to read.
Fast and accurate
Take more than 60 readings per minute, or over 90 in FAST mode, with built-in temperature compensation. Each gage includes a Long Form Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST or PTB.
Statistics and memory
The Standard body stores 1,000 readings per probe, and Statistics mode continually displays the average, standard deviation, min/max and number of readings. Readings are accessible over USB like a flash drive, or through PosiSoft software for reports.
Flexible calibration
Choose from 1-point, 2-point, known thickness and average zero adjustment options. Hi-RES mode increases displayed resolution, and RESET instantly restores factory settings.
Rugged, interchangeable platform
The IP65 body is weatherproof, dustproof and water-resistant, with a large 2.8" impact-resistant color touchscreen. Each probe retains its own calibration, so the body accepts any PosiTector 6000, UTG, SPG, DPM and other PosiTector probes.
