JIREH NAVIC – 3-Axis Nozzle Scanner
The NDT industry’s first motorized nozzle scanner
Have questions about buying this product?
The NAVIC – 3-Axis Nozzle Scanner utilizes a single pod of the NAVIC system to carry a specialized probe holder on nozzles and fitting welds. Incredible precision and accuracy are obtained with 3 different encoders measuring scanner position, probe position and probe skew.
Motorized Driving and Steering
Variable drive speed and steering control.
Encoded Skew Vertical Probe Holder
An inventive probe holder offering 12.2 cm (4.8 in) of vertical travel as well as an encoded skew measurement. As the probe travels around a weld, constant probe contact with the scan surface is maintained thanks to this unique vertical probe holder. Which also features an encoded skew which measures the degrees to which the probe has been rotated horizontally.
Remote Control
Program scan and raster paths from up to 30 m (100 ft) away using the intuitive handheld remote control. The ergonomic handheld controller includes programming of raster patterns, drive paths and system diagnostics.
Slider Probe Positioning System
Make quick adjustment to the probe distance from the weld without requiring scanner removal. The included encoder ensures precise measurement along the frame bar.
Y-Axis Encoding
Measure the probe distance from the weld.
Warranty
Backed by a three-year warranty. Contact Jireh for more information.
Many Accessories
Enhance the NAVIC’s capability with optional accessories: battery powered laser guide, onboard camera, backpack, cable management, crawler removal system and motorized couplant pump.
Component Identification
Base Crawler
The powerful base crawler carries probe holder frames, raster arms and a multitude of accessories for the purposes of weld and corrosion inspection.
Integrated Encoder
A spring-loaded encoder maintains surface contact on all various scan surface diameters.
Magnetic Wheels
Powerful magnetic wheels ensure the crawler remains fixed to any ferrous surface.
Power Controller
Compatible with both North American and European power sources, the power controller connects the user instrument and handheld controller to the base crawler.
Umbilical
The backbone of communication between the power controller and the base crawler.
Handheld Controller
Containing the NAVIC operating system, the handheld controller joysticks control speed and steering of the base crawler while the intuitive touchscreen allows for more intricate raster path and drive programming.
