NDT Systems Raptor Corrosion Inspection System (CIS)

Our proven Raptor Corrosion Inspection System (CIS) Kit provides a fast, portable, and easy-to-use solution to access areas of suspected corrosion. Packaged in a single pelican case, this solution takes only minutes to set up and begin testing. Corrosion is rarely noticeable from the outside of closed structures like tanks and pipelines since most of the corrosion happens internally. This corrosion can lead to unsafe operating conditions and failures and could result in excessive repairs and unscheduled plant shutdowns.

The standard approach for non-destructive corrosion inspection calls for measuring remaining wall thickness using a thickness gauging technique called spot checking. There is however a growing requirement for corrosion mapping or C-Scan data collection using portable systems with semi or fully automated scanners. This allows for a more complete damage assessment and more accurate sizing of affected areas. Measurements can also be made through paint or a coating.

The Raptor Corrosion Inspection System is the most cost-effective corrosion mapping system on the market and includes the full capability of the Raptor imaging flaw detector. Additionally, the operator can utilize a hand-scanner for a unique fast survey mode or deploy the automated precision X-Y scanner.
